Reclining Buddha at Wat Phutthaisawan

A reclining Buddha is a statue that represents the Buddha lying down during the moment of his Mahaparinirvana, the ultimate state of Nirvana. Wat Phutthaisawan is situated on the bank of the Chao Praya River and was built in 1353 by King Ramathibodi I.
